Spring Hope –

Irene Walton Batchelor, age 67, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 28, 2026 at her home in Spring Hope, North Carolina. She was born on August 4, 1958 in Nash County to Marvin and Betty Hogshire Walton, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of twenty-two years, Norman Batchelor; children, Stacey Bracey (Heather) of Nashville and Brandy Bracey of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Jacob Riggins, Maddison Riggins and Jaxon Bracey and brother, Marvin Walton (Mary) of Rocky Mount.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
