Jack "Snookie" Jefferson Taylor, Jr., age 74, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. He was born in Nash County on September 17, 1947 to Jack Jefferson, Sr. and Margaret Copeland Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Neil Taylor.

He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife, Gwen Parker Taylor; daughter, Margie T. Cook (Bo); son, Jack Jefferson Taylor, III (Cher); sister, Anita Bridgers; brother, James Douglas Taylor (Billye); grandchildren, Joshua A. Hill (Kylar), Jessica Hill Dunn (Adam), and Taylor Faith Davis; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Mason, and Callan Dunn; and nieces, Janet Terry Shannon Roland and Kari Ann Gundra.

Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a hard worker who loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed cooking. He was also an outdoorsman who loved to tend to his garden and work in the yard. Jack will be dearly missed.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
