Wilson -

Janice Pridgen Jenkins, age 77, passed peacefully with family by her side on January 19, 2026 after a long health battle. She fought until the very end but now rests at the feet of her Lord Jesus. She was born in Fountain, NC to Charlotte Wooten and Wrenn Cleveland Abrams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Abrams, J.C Abrams, and Mel Abrams.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Spencer Batchelor; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Lee and Amy Batts; grandchildren, Jenna and Ryan Batchelor, Cameron Braswell, Justin and Dillon Batts; great-grandchildren, Elliot and Henry Braswell and Elijah Batts, all of Nash County, and her sister, Marian Webb (Wes) of Wilson. Sincere and heartfelt thanks goes to Wilson Pines Nursing and Rehab Center, where people became like family and cared for and loved her for the last four years.

The family will host a service of celebration and remembrance on Saturday, February 7, at 1pm at First United Methodist Church, 100 S. Church St, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be mailed to First United Methodist Church or made through their website fumcrm.org , designated "missions" so that her memory may help others to "Know Christ and Make Christ Known."
