Janice Edwards Rose, age 92, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026. She was born on August 6, 1933, and lived a life devoted to faith, family, and caring for others.
Janice was a longtime faithful member of Elm Grove Baptist Church. She was known for her loving and nurturing spirit, serving as a caregiver to many throughout her life. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother (Mema), Janice, found great joy in spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening, pursuits through which she shared her talents and love with those around her.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred T. Edwards and Bertha C. Edwards; her beloved husband of 53 years, Ray L. Rose; son-in-law, Phillip Hager; her brother, Nelson Edwards; and her sister, Hilda Best.
She is survived by her siblings, Donald Edwards, Barbara Lee, and Brenda Aleshire (Max); sister-in-law, Carolyn Edwards; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Janice leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory:
Her daughter, Bonnie Hager, and her sons, Benjamin Hager (Kelly) and their son, Blake, and Brian Hager (Kelli) and their children, Carter, Wyatt, Adalynn, and Garrett.
Her daughter, Ann Evans (Keith), and their children: Jonathan Evans; Frances Floyd (Josh) and their children, Anna Kate and Matthew; and Thomas Evans (Mara) and their daughters, Maya and Willa.
Her daughter, Donna Lamm (Ron), and their children: Tyler Lamm (Elizabeth) and their children, Westin and Cheyenne; and Rebecca Lee (Zeth) and their daughter, Lyla.
Janice will be remembered for her unwavering faith, kind heart, gentle spirit, and deep love for her family. Her legacy of compassion, generosity, and devotion will live on through the many lives she touched.

Janice's family finds comfort in knowing that she has been welcomed into the presence of her Lord and Savior and reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Special thanks to the dedicated staff at Breckenridge for the exceptional care, compassion, and support provided to our mother and family. We are also deeply grateful to Hospice of Wilson County and her personal caregivers, whose kindness, love, and devotion allowed her to remain comfortably at home while receiving the care she needed.
A service to celebrate and remember Janice's wonderful life will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Elm Grove Baptist Church, 2385 Old Bailey Highway, Nashville, NC 27856. The family will greet friends immediately following the service. A private service of committal and interment will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery, Nashville, NC.
