Jean Atoman McMurrough, age 71, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in Red Oak, NC surrounded by family and under the care of Community Hospice.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Hugh Kenneth McMurrough, Jr.; her children, Katie Benson (James) of Red Oak, North Carolina, and Danny McMurrough (Jenny) of Orem, Utah; grandchildren, Hayden and Kenzie Benson and Estela and Dain McMurrough; along with a host of relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 2 p.m. at The Church of God, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. The service will also be available via Zoom by visiting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85422504831?pwd=clZKSGlaOThXRDNNVXJSOE9wcjU5QT09 .
