Jeanette Price

Jeanette Price, age 71, passed away at home Tuesday morning, August 25, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Pitt County on November 23, 1954 to Edgar and Pauline Moore Gardner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Lynn, Jackie Lee Light, and Susie Gardner; and brother, Edgar Gene Gardner.

She is survived by a loving family that includes her husband of forty-eight years, Gordon Price; son, Gordon Price, Jr. of Macclesfield; daughter, Alexis Price of Clayton; grandchildren, Jordon and Zack Price, Emmy Matthews, and brand new granddaughter, Kamryn Cannon. Jeanette will also be missed by her siblings, Betsy House (Wilbur) of Macclesfield, Faye Smith (Jerry) of Speed, William Gardner (Shelby) of Tarboro, Dennis Gardner (Melissa) of Pinetops, and Mary Jo Cobb of Crisp; along with several nieces, nephews, family friends and other extended relatives.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Word of Life International, 3388 McNair Rd., Tarboro, NC 27886. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm.
