Jeanne Hoelz

Cora Jeanne Hoelz, 91, passed away surrounded by the love of a family whose lives were forever made better simply because she was a part of them. She is now in the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Born August 15, 1934 in Birmingham, Alabama, Jeanne was the daughter of Walter T. and Margaret G. Savage. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Dr. Ronald Kent Hoelz, Sr.; sister, Margaret Washburn; and brother, Walter Thomas Savage, Jr.

She leaves a lifetime of treasured memories for her children, Jacky Adkins and Ron Hoelz (Yvette), all of Walstonburg; sister, Martie Wood (Wendell) of Battle Creek, MI; granddaughters, Amber Allen (Blake) of Wilson and Ashley Kubas (Daniel) of Black Creek; great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Wyatt Allen, Ellison and Bowen Barnes, and Aubrey Kubas; along with several nieces, nephews, family friends and other extended relatives.

Known as “Amiee” by those who loved her most, Jeanne lived a long and beautiful life filled with family, love, laughter, and memories that will continue to be shared for generations.

She shared 52 wonderful years of marriage with her loving husband, Ron Hoelz Sr. Their life together was one built on love, devotion, companionship, and family. Through all of life’s seasons, they stood beside one another, creating a lifetime of memories together until Ron’s passing. The love they shared remained an important part of Jeanne’s life and the story of their family.

At almost 92 years old, Jeanne leaves behind far more than the years she lived. She leaves behind the people she loved, the traditions she helped create, the stories that will continue to be told, and countless memories held close by those fortunate enough to call her family.

To her loved ones, she will always be Amiee. A name spoken with love and one that represents a lifetime of memories that can never be replaced.

Although saying goodbye to her is incredibly difficult, there is comfort in knowing that a love like hers does not end with a goodbye. It continues through her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, and friends, and in every story, tradition, lesson, and memory she leaves behind.

After 52 wonderful years beside Ron and the years spent carrying his memory with her, there is also comfort in imagining Amiee reunited once again with the love of her life.

Her life was long.

Her family was loved.

Her memories are countless.

And her place in the hearts of those who loved her will remain forever.

Jeanne “Amiee” Hoelz will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

Jeanne's family and friends will gather for a Graveside Tribute at Walstonburg Cemetery, at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 15, 2026, to remember her wonderful life, honor her Savior, and celebrate her first birthday in Heaven.
