Momeyer –

Jefferson "Jeffery" Bass, age 44, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday afternoon, February 11, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Nash County on September 10, 1981.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Horace Jefferson and Peggy Jefferson Hill; paternal grandparents, Bobby and Bette Bass; grandparents-in-law, William Clyde and Linda Rebecca Pridgen and uncle, Roddy Bass.

Jeffery was a devoted member of Momeyer Baptist Church. He loved his church and serving his Lord. Jeffery graduated from Southern Nash High School. He enjoyed playing soccer and running track. He loved his family, Momeyer, NC State Wolfpack, and the Carolina Panthers. He loved being outdoors, especially hiking, skiing , riding his bike and 4wheeler. Most of all, he loved washing his Chevy Truck! Even until the end, Jeffery's ray of sunshine and joy was his daughter, Jesslynn!

He is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Jessica Wells Bass; daughter, Jesslynn Grace Bass; parents, Wesley and Pat Jefferson Bass of Momeyer; sister, Megan Bass Finch (Christopher) of Spring Hope; nephew, Ben Finch; father and mother-in-law, Richard and Cyndy Wells of Rocky Mount; sister-in-law, Erica Smith (Matthew) of Kinston; nephews, Levi and Brendon Smith; brother-in-law, Trey Wells (Haley) of Rocky Mount; aunts, Lynne Felton (Graham), Leigh Compton (Walter), Gini Winstead (Gerald), Phyllis Chafin,  Vandy Bass Matthews (Richard) and Joanne Bass; grandparents-in-law, Richard and Doris Wells; along with several cousins and other extended relatives.

The family will host a memorial service at 4:00pm on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Momeyer Baptist Church, 4967 Momeyer Way, Nashville, NC 27856. Visitation will immediately follow the service.
