John Keith Spell, age 60, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Wake Med Raleigh. He was born in Nash County on August 11, 1962 to Jesse and Joyce Tippette Spell. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Clarence Spell.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce Tippette Spell of Rocky Mount; sisters, Kimberly Joyce Spell of Elm City and Robin Spell of Rocky Mount; nieces and nephews, Tyler Carpenter, Peyton Stanley, Jason Spell, Heather Coley, and Joey Spell.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
