Spring Hope

Johnny Richard Kennedy, Sr., age 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. He was born in Coeburn, Virginia on March 18, 1940 to Charles and Agnes Kennedy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Darrell and Wayne Kennedy; and his son, Johnny Richard Kennedy, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Kennedy of Spring Hope; Catherine Kennedy Crowson (Phillip) of Raleigh; son, David Kennedy (Traci) of Garner; sister, Rita Brinkley of Durham; grandchildren, Brianna Crowson, Lane, Bailey, Remington, and Colton Kennedy, and Payton Kennedy Stanley (Tyler); and great-grandchild, Lincoln Stanley.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 10, at 11:00 AM at Oakdale Cemetery in Spring Hope.
