Joseph "Don" Manning

Joseph "Don" Manning, age 83, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 24th, 2026 at Wilson Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Wilson, North Carolina. He was born in Wilson County on November 20th, 1942 to Joseph H. and Pluma Robinson Manning. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lane Manning and brother, Robert Wayne Manning.

He is survived by his daughter, Angie Manning Holland (Patrick) of Wilson; sister, Linda Manning Cooke (Wayne) of Rocky Mount; and special friend, Ann Boyette of Tarboro. He also leaves a sister-in-law, Donna Manning of Rocky Mount and nieces and nephews, Greg Taylor (Michelle), Melissa Hobgood (Todd), Jeffrey Manning (Alicia), and Ashley Woodruff (John).

The family will host a memorial service at 2:00pm, Saturday, October 31st at First Free Will Baptist Church, 3150 Western Blvd, Tarboro, NC 27886. Visitation will follow immediately afterward.
