Joyce Beaman Bennett, age 88, died on Friday April the 3rd, at UNC Chapel Hill.

She was raised in Farmville on her family’s farm along with her brothers and sisters.

Joyce began her professional career in Rocky Mount where she worked with Ann Bailey at the original Bailey’s Jewelry store in downtown Rocky Mount. She retired following 47 years of service, making many friends and lasting relationships along the way. She loved the Bailey family and enjoyed working alongside them in the jewelry profession.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Jessie Beaman; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Beaman, Lucille B. Gardner; and brothers, Rufus and Curtis Beaman.

She is survived by her spouse of 52 years, Robbie Bennett of Rocky Mount; stepdaughter, Kristy B. Glover of Spring Hope; and sister-in-law, Susan B. Carrington of Rocky Mount. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 10th at 2:00 at Pineview Cemetery, 761 E Raleigh Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27801.
