Kenneth Louis Alford, age 84, passed away Sunday evening, June 15, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Bessie Alford; wife, Jean Alford; brothers, James Edward Alford, Julian Glynn "Pete" Alford, Charlie Clifton Alford, Robert Earl "Bob" Alford, William Cooper "Bill" Alford, and Roy David Alford; sisters, Nannie Lee Johnson and Louise Alford Wainwright.

Kenneth served honorably in the United States Navy and later retired from CSX Railroad following a career of thirty-seven years. He was a long time and faithful member of Southside Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and yardwork in his later years.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Brent Alford; brother, Harold Ray Alford; granddaughter, Lauren Brooke Alford; sisters-in-law, Gaynelle Flowers Alford, Betty Jean Blackford, and Joyce Hudson Alford, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.

A service to remember and celebrate his life will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel On The Hill. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
