Ken "Grumpy Bear" Young, age 76, passed away peacefully Friday morning, September 1, 2023 at his home. He was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on September 18, 1946 to Russell and Florence Greenawalt Young, both of whom preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Bonnie Hughes Young; son, Kurt Young (Tracy) of Pennsylvania; step-children, William Matey (Katie) of Raleigh, Melissa Zelinack (Jason) of Youngsville and Nicole Henry of Pennsylvania; brother, Steven Young (Sally) of Pennsylvania; grandson, Breton Young; along with nine step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
