Rocky Mount -

Larry Martin "Marty" House, Jr, age 56, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022. He was born on May 19, 1965 to Larry House, Sr. and Bonnie L. House. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bridget House Robinson.

He is survived by his sister, Kecia House Blue of Simpsonville SC; nephews, Seth Taylor (Nikki) of Black Creek NC, Josh Taylor of Charlotte NC, Colin Blue and Ethan Blue of Simpsonville SC; great nephews, Xander Taylor of Charlotte, NC and Jaxon Taylor of Black Creek NC; and great nieces, Darby Taylor of Charlotte, NC, Taylin Burford and Milly Burford of Black Creek NC. Although Marty never had any biological children, he thought of Heather King and Devin King of Rocky Mount NC as his own. He also survived by many loving cousins and friends he called family.

Marty was a native of Rocky Mount. He loved being outside---fishing, hunting, working on cars, or working in the yard. He was a big Nascar fan, with Dale Earnhardt, Sr. #3 being his favorite driver of all time. Many may not realize that he earned his high school diploma and an Associate Degree in Information Systems Technology as a young adult. Marty worked in the home repair business in different capacities all his life. He loved his family and friends more than anything, especially his Momma. He will be missed immensely by his family and friends.

Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the home of James and Cheryl Bowen, 47 Sheryl Lane, Rocky Mount 27801. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 17 at Rock Haven Church at 3438 S. Halifax Rd, Rocky Mount 27803 with Pastor Lin Robinson officiating. The family requests that attire be blue-jean casual, as Marty would have liked.
