Leon Carl Peele, Sr., age 79, passed away early Friday morning, November 20, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Thomas and Lula Belle Stallings Peele; brothers, Ronald "Ronnie" Peele, George Thomas Peele, and Bobby Peele; sister, Evelyn Outlaw; granddaughter, Aly Gray Peele; and brother-in-law, Jack Sharpe.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 29 years, Jane Peele; sons, Leon Carl Peele, Jr. (Shannon Peele), George Thomas "G.T." Peele (Renee Peele); daughter, Beverly Peele Ramsey (Johnny Ramsey); brothers, Phillip Peele ( Pam Peele); sisters, Barbara Sharpe, Shirley VanBibber (Terri VanBibber); grandsons, Joshua "Josh" Peele (Amber Perkins), Colby Peele, Ty Peele,  Austin Ramsey, Spenser Ramsey, Cameron Ramsey; great-grand daughters, Rosie May Peele and Grace Marie Perkins; step-daughters, Gwyn Beasley (Michael Beasley), Tara Timblin (Billy Timblin), and Dori Davis (Ray Davis); grandchildren, Brandon Beasley (Ashley Beasley), Cameron Beasley, Alana Eways, and Braylen Davis; great grandchildren, Isabella "Izzy" Beasley, Mattie "Blakely" Beasley, Jace Littlejohn, and Ben Littlejohn; along with a host of nieces, nephews, dear friends and other extended relatives.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Leon's life with a Graveside Tribute, 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 24 at St. Michael's Episcopal Church Cemetery in Tarboro. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
