Leona Faye Harrell

Leona Faye Harrell, age 83, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026 with her family by her side. She was born in Pitt County on October 13, 1942 to Jake C. and Mary pollard Elks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her youngest son, Donald Earl "Donnie" Harrell.

She is survived by her husband of almost sixty-eight years, Marvin L. "Humpy" Harrell, Sr.; sons, Marvin L. Harrell, Jr. and wife, Yulonda of Pinetops, and Randy E. Harrell of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Jessica Conklin and husband, Bryan of Wilson; and great-granddaughter, Keairah Conklin. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, family friends and other extended relatives.

A service to remember and celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 20, 2026 in the Lakecrest Mausoleum, Edgecombe Memorial Park, Hwy 258, Tarboro, NC 27886. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 pm.
