Levora Jean Williams, age 67, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Vidant Edgecombe hospital after fighting a long fight with COPD. She was born on January 15, 1954 to Ernest and Ruby Bateman in Tyrrell County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her fiance, James Dusenbury; siblings, Thomas Bateman and Doris Bateman; and granddaughter, Makayla Bryant.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Davis and April Bryant (Tommy); son, Walter Williams (Jennifer); grandchildren, Sierra Eason (Jacob), Johnnie Davis, Jr. (Megan), Angela Davis, Justin Davis, Jordan Oakley, Wyatt Williams, and Toby Bryant; great-grandchildren, Jacob Davis, Johnnie Davis, III, Jaxon Davis, Nathaniel Davis, Jace Davis, and Christiana Davis; siblings, Glenda Bateman Gardner, HD Bateman (Barbara), Margaret Bateman, Wayne Bateman (Rosa), and Mary Waters; along with many nieces, nephews, family friends, and extended relatives.
Services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 2:00PM at Tarboro Church of God, 412 Shirley Street, Tarboro. The family will begin receiving friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00PM. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 3204 Western Blvd, Tarboro.
