Linda Batchelor Brown, age 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

She is survived by a loving family that includes her husband, Edgar Brown of Nashville; children, Renee Joyner Harrell (Marshall) of Nashville and Angie Melissa Joyner of Rocky Mount; siblings, Nellie Little of Dallas, TX, Mary Thompson (Charles) of Nashville, Bonnie Batchelor of Nashville, and Cookie Temple of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Dylan and Brayden Hodges, Chris Harrell (Ashley), Jordan Harrell Brock (Vann), and Noah and Levi Harrell.

Linda retired from Abbott with over 20 years of service. She was an active member of the Sharpsburg Church of God and served in many areas of ministry through the years including teaching Sunday School and Women's Ministries. Linda loved to share her faith and encouraged others to draw closer to God. She was a master gardener who was known for her beautiful plants and flowers. She enjoyed reading and always had a book nearby.

Linda held many roles during her lifetime, but her favorite was Grandma. She was passionate about each of her grandchildren. She was known by her family and friends as having a wonderful sense of humor and for telling it like it is!

A service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Rise Church, 313 W Washington St, Nashville, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, Nashville, NC.
