Rocky Mount –

Linda P. Ward, of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, was born on January 25, 1948, and peacefully passed away on February 14, 2025.

Linda and her beloved husband, Leonard D. Ward, were united in marriage in November of 1968, sharing a strong and enduring bond for over five decades. While much of Linda's life was devoted to raising her children, supporting her husband, and cherishing time with family and friends, she also had a brief but successful career as a real estate agent in the 1980s in the Atlanta area. Over the years, Linda held a variety of roles, each of which she approached with dedication and grace.

She was the daughter of John T. Pope and Earldeen Pittman Pope, both of whom preceded her in death. Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Leonard; children, Deana (Ward) Rhadans (Rick) of Acworth, Georgia, and John D. Ward (Betty) of Farmville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Dalton and Dylan Rhadans of Acworth, Georgia, and Tyler and Jered Ward of Farmville, North Carolina, will forever hold her in their hearts. She is also survived by her sister, Sherry Pope Leonard, and her brother, Johnny Pope, both of Rocky Mount, and many extended family members in North Carolina.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Davis-Little Funerals, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC. A funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, also at Davis-Little Funerals. Interment will be private.

Linda's warmth, kindness, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
