Lisa Ward, age 57, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 18, 2025 at ECU Medical Center in Greenville, NC. Born November 19, 1967 in Nash County, Lisa was the only daughter of Allen and Mary Elizabeth Ward, both of whom preceded her in death.

She grew to become a loving daughter, sister, mother, adoring Yaya, and a devoted healthcare professional with a successful nursing career that spanned many years, most recently with Carteret Health Care. Her servant's heart was the foundation of a deep passion to help others by making a tangible difference in their lives and providing compassionate care. She especially enjoyed the experience of being a travel nurse and caring for patients with a variety of needs. Lisa also made many lasting friendships along the way and loved spending time at the beach and sailing with friends. She will be deeply missed by the lives she touched and those who love her.

Lisa is survived by her daughter, Courtney Shearin Adam and husband, Louis; granddaughter, Emerson Adam, all of the UK; brothers, Steve Ward and David Buell; and her faithful canine companion, Jax. She was blessed with a wide circle of loving extended relatives that include Leonard Ward, John and Betty Ward, Tyler Ward, Jered Ward, Deana and Rick Rhadans, Dalton Rhadans, and Dylan Rhadans, along with numerous other cousins and family friends.

A service to remember Lisa's life and pay tribute to her memory will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, October 24, 2025 at Davis-Little Funerals, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
