Lois Marie Braswell Bullock

Lois Marie Braswell Bullock, age 86, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026 at ECU Edgecombe Health Hospital in Tarboro, North Carolina.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Pineview Cemetery, Pinetops, NC. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.

Lois was born in Edgecombe County on May 25, 1940, the fifth of eight children in the family of Doane and Sarah Elizabeth Braswell. She was also preceded in death by her husband of thirty-one years, Ben "Dock" Bullock; and siblings, Tom Braswell, Shelby Braswell, Pete Braswell and Geraldine Little.

Lois is survived by a loving family that includes her daughters, Sherry Bullock of Winterville and Lisa Bullock Tripp (Marc) of Snow Hill; grandchildren, Ryan Bullock (Ciara) of Winterville, Marc "Max" Tripp, Jr. (Lauren) of Snow Hill, and Sydni Tripp (Devin) of Charlotte; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Anna Grace Tripp; siblings, Phil Braswell (Katherine), Nancy Carr (Jimmy), all of Macclesfield, and Margie Braswell of Pinetops. Lois will also be missed by her friend and caregiver, Bobbi Jo Anderson of Fountain, along with many nieces, nephews, family friends and other extended relatives.
