Margie Smith Eason, age 91, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 5, 2022 at The Lodge Health & Rehabilitation in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. She was born on December 20, 1930 to Wiley and Louvenia Pridgen Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jennings Brian "JB" Batchelor and Johnny Eason; brothers, Cecil, Harvey, Jimmy, and Ted Smith; sister, Linda Smith Bone; and granddaughter, Amanda B. Sherrick.

She is survived by a loving family including her daughter, Debbie Sherrick and husband, Donald of Rocky Mount; sisters, Ella Smith of Nashville and Patricia Joyner and husband, Billy of Rocky Mount; granddaughter, Jennifer Faulkner and husband, Jon of Rocky Mount; great-grandchildren, Reagan and Ennis Faulkner and Tristan Spivey; along with many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 3:00PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, 4454 Dortches Boulevard, Rocky Mount, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home.
