Margie W. Boykin was called Home to her Lord and Savior, Monday evening, May 5, 2025. She was born in Nash County on April 15, 1932, to Samuel B. and Essie Mae Winstead.

In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her husband of almost sixty-six years, Horace Gay Boykin; great-grandsons, Joshua Lee Radford and William Clayton Dixon Powell; and several siblings.

She leaves a lifetime of cherished memories for her four children, Stacy Powell & husband, Stanley of Stanhope, Georgia Williams, Wanda Holland and husband, Ray, and Billy Boykin, all of Wilson; sister, Ruby Baker and husband, Lynn of Chesapeake, Virginia; along with many family friends and other extended relatives.

Margie was especially proud of and adored her grandchildren and their spouses which include Crystal Gail Radford aka #1 Mean Girl, Brandy Williams, Brian Powell and wife, Lori, Worth Williams, Wade Williams, and Billy Clifton Boykin, all of Wilson, Brandon Powell and wife, Jessica of Middlesex, Brent Powell of Stanhope, and Julie Mitchell aka #2 Mean Girl and husband, Steven of Elm City.

Her life was truly enriched as her family grew to include nine precious great-grandchildren, Amber Marie Hinnant aka #3 Mean Girl and Eric May, Emma Grace Powell, Colton Blake Powell, Adalynn Kate Powell, all of Wilson, Kaelyn Renee Mitchell, Jackson Mark Mitchell, and Carson William Mitchell, all of Elm City, and Charlotte Claire Powell of Middlesex.

Margie's life was a treasured gift to all who knew and loved her and will be celebrated with a special tribute at 11:00 am, Friday, May 9, 2025 at Evergreen Memorial Park, 2800 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27896
