Red Oak -

Mark D Flitton, formerly of Pinelake Park in Manchester, New Jersey, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 9, 2025 in Red Oak, North Carolina. He was born in Naples, Italy to parents, Lyle D Flitton and Gloria Turner Flitton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rick.

He is survived by his wife of almost twenty-five years, Irene Flitton; children, Lee D Flitton (Susan) of Bayville, NJ, Heather Lee Dlugosz (Kyle) of Forked River, NJ, Josef Cotugno (Rebecca) of Nashville, Jaclyn Cotugno of Wilmington and Danielle Cotugno of Greenville; brother, Kirk Flitton (Sue) of Brick, NJ; grandchildren, Kyle Cotugno, Kain Flitton, Connor Cotugno, Cara Cotugno, Jude Dlugosz, Raelyn Edmondson, Evelyn Dlugosz, Estella Flitton, and Liam Flitton; the mother of his children, Linda Freibott and his beloved canine companion and best friend, Jezebel.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
