Scotland Neck -

Mary Bridgers Casper, age 70, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022. She was born on October 7, 1951 to Benjamin and Emma Williams Bridgers in Edgecombe County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Billy" Casper; brothers, Benjamin Bridgers, Joseph Bridgers, and infant brother, Ray Bridgers.

She is survived by her children, Jason Casper and wife, Amanda of Enfield and Geneva Bryant and husband, Mike of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Mallorie Bryant Arrington and husband, Christian, Ramzie Bryant, Kaylee Casper, and Cora Beth Casper; siblings, Billy Bridgers, Betty Lou Proenneke, Rosa Dunn, Deborah Norris, Ruth Bridgers, David Bridgers, Naomi Burgess and Rita Freeman.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Bryan Health and Rehabilitation of Scotland Neck, NC for their care and compassion.

A memorial service to celebrate Mary's life has been rescheduled for Sunday, January 30 2022, at 3:00 PM at Sunset Church of God, 1709 Anaconda Rd, Tarboro, NC 27886. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 PM.
