Mary Lois Ezzell

Leaving eighty-three years of amazing memories for us, Mary Lois Rogers Ezzell, lovingly known as “MeMa”, finished her race and was called Home to her Savior Saturday morning, April 11, 2026.

Born in Halifax County, NC on June 4, 1942, Mary Lois was the third daughter of Gaston and Louise Brown Rogers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, C.W. Ezzell; sisters, Ruth Davis, Kathy Casper, Becky Hardy, Sandra Warren, Lu Ann Evans, and Ginny O’Dell; grandchildren, Noah Harrelson and Lily Frances Ezzell.

She will be deeply missed by her loving family that includes her children, Burt Ezzell (Rosita) of Rocky Mount, Tim Ezzell of Tarboro and Dale Harrelson (David), also of Tarboro; grandchildren, Meagan Lucas (John), Hunter Ezzell (Nessa), Caroline Gold (Lee), Carmen Ezzell, Gaston Ezzell (Le’Anna), and Emma Kate Harrelson (Colby); great-grandchildren, Bryson Gold, Levi Lucas, Madi Brooke Lucas, Addi James Gold, and Rin Ezzell; sisters, Ann Davis (Bobby) of Enfield, Linda Faye Arsenault of Washington; along with many nieces, nephews, family friends and other extended relatives.

The family will host a Celebration of Life at 11:00am, Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at FaithHouse Church, 2147 Hwy 64 East Alt, Tarboro, NC 27886.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to FaithHouse Church, Youth Group or JOY Group, P.O. Box 488, Tarboro, NC 27886, will be appreciated.
