Mary Anna Overby Turner, age 94, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, February 22, 2021.  She was born on December 4, 1926 in Nash County to Malvin and Iva Vick Overby.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Raymond Vick, James F. Proctor, and Thomas Earl Turner; granddaughter, Allison Dickens; brother, Robert Overby; and sisters, Arlene Morris, Katherine Shearin, and Annie Pearl Cook.

Mary Anna is survived by her daughters, Carla Glover (Dan) of Dortches, Tammy Spivey (Ronnie) of Red Oak; sons, Ray Laverne Vick (Connie) of Kansas and Malvin Keith Vick (Freda) of Florida; twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; and special niece, Sue Shearin along with many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

A service to pay tribute to her life will be held at Dortches Baptist Church on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM.  The burial will be at Rocky Mount Memorial Park immediately following the service.
