Mike Proctor, age 68, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina. He was born on July 29, 1955 in Pitt County to Albert and Hattie Wainwright Proctor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Donald Wayne Davis, Jr.; sister, Gail Moore and granddaughter, Jessica Leanna Walston.

He is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Brenda H. Proctor; children, Michael Jerome "Jay" Proctor, Jr. (Sandi) of Tarboro, Steven Dale Davis (Donna) of Pinetops, Kristie P. Reason (Mikey) of South Carolina, Lisa Marie Proctor (Brian Joyner) of Rocky Mount and Jasmine Nicole Walston; siblings, Albert L. Proctor, Jr. (Ann) of Tarboro, Linda Proctor of Morehead City, Delores Proctor of Tarboro and Randy Proctor of Princeville; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
