Michael "Mike" Shawn Ruffin, age 55, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020. He was born on January 8, 1965 to Ronnie & Carolyn Ruffin in Rocky Mount, NC. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Ruffin in 2008. He had one son, Allen, who he loved dearly. You never saw one without the other. He was a blue collar worker and he was an excellent mechanic in his earlier years.

Michael was a muscle car enthusiast, drag racing fan and an avid coin collector. He especially loved his 1970 Camaro. Michael is survived by his mother, Carolyn; his son, Allen; his wife, Joyce; his sisters, Tammy (Dwight) Davis & Tara Ruffin (Terry Moss); nieces, Santia Ruffin (Ronnie Taylor) & Meagan (Zack) Barnes; grand-niece, Josie Barnes, and special aunt, Debbie (Bob) Bobbitt.

A private viewing will be held for immediate family only. Memorials or donations may be made to his mother (Carolyn Ruffin) and will be used to handle funeral expenses.
