He is survived by his wife of eleven years, Kimberly Vick; twin daughters, Shana Vick and Roxie Vick, both of Lucama; mother, Darlene Lopez, also of Lucama; father, Michael Vick of Elm City; twin brother, Brandon Vick (Kathy) of Lucama and brother, Eddie Boykin (Becky) of Oklahoma. More than just a sports fan, Michael held a passion for being active and enjoying sports by watching, playing, and following his favorite teams and athletes. Special Olympics was a notable part of his life where he participated in spring and summer events along with encouraging other friends and athletes for over twenty years. He appreciated the excitement and speed of dirt track racing and also had a keen eye for operating RC cars. While he enjoyed a variety of sports and teams, UNC Tarheels won his devotion at an early age, from which he never waivered.
With tremendous love and support, RiverBend Church has been a staple of Christian family and fellowship during Michael's many years of association. He was known to be a sweet, gentle soul who loved his family and was protective of his wife and children. He was deeply loved by his friends and relatives and leaves wonderful memories to hold in our hearts.
The family will host a Celebration of Life at 3:00pm on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at RiverBend Church, 9853 East Hwy 97, Rocky Mount, NC 27803. Friends are welcome to greet the family immediately following the service in the Family Life Center.
