Wilson –

Michael Eugene Taylor, Jr., age 41, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025. He was born in Wilson County on December 24, 1983 to Michael and Tammy Woodard Taylor. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Eugene "Tater Bud" Taylor, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Robert and Ola Woodard and paternal grandparents, Gene and Hazel Taylor.

He is survived by his children, Kayleigh E. Collingwood (Chris), Sabrina M. Taylor, Lynda C. Taylor, Michael E. "Mikey" Taylor, III, Luke J. Taylor and Levi M. Taylor; mother, Tammy Woodard Taylor of Wilson; sister, Linn T. Whitson (Terry) of Stantonsburg; niece, MaKenzie L. Whitson; nephews, Hunter D. Whitson and Justin L. Whitson; beloved canine companion, Beanie; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and his Brewer Family Meat Products family.

Michael was a beloved father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, coworker and friend. His sense of humor and vibrant personality made him a joy to be around, always bringing laughter to any gathering. He enjoyed drawing, classic cars and cherished moments spent fishing with his dad. Family held a special place in his heart, and he prioritized their happiness above all else. Michael's warm smile and hearty laughter will be missed by those fortunate to know him.

A service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Good News Advent Christian Church, 6990 Good News Church Road, Stantonsburg, NC 27883. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home.
