Moresa Hoggard Stalls died peacefully in her sleep Saturday morning, October 25, 2025 in Martinsville, Virginia. She was born in Edgecombe County on February 16, 1998 and was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Georgia Hoggard Peaden.

She is survived by her husband, Adam "AJ" Stalls; brother, James Hoggard; uncles, Kelly Hoggard (Denise) and Woody Hoggard (Leslie); mother-in-law, Linda Holloman Rivera (Rafael); father-in-law, John Stalls (Sheila); her devoted canine companions, Rosie, Ruth, Papi, and Carmela; and a cute little pet guinea pig named Oliver.

Moresa was also blessed with a loving extended family that includes April Stalls, Samantha Stalls, Travis Taylor, Deborah Whitehurst Davis, Joyce Whitaker Williams, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special family friends.

A service will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Pender's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 3246 Howard Avenue Ext, Tarboro, NC 27886. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00am.
