Nancy Thompson Edmunds, age 86, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024. Her journey began in Edgecombe County on January 29, 1938, daughter of Raymond Elwood and Margaret Shelton Land. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lee Edmunds, Jr.; sisters, Peggy Land Williams, Kay Land Barnes and Betty Jean Land; son, Frank Lee Edmunds, III and great-grandson, Grayson Coley.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Bruce Thompson Alvarez of Tarboro, Anne Edmunds of Mallett, NY, Lynn Edmunds, Debra Anne Miller (Billy) and Barbara Brooks (Curtis), all of Virginia, and sisters, Hilda Land Edwards and Ann Land Ayers, both of Rocky Mount. Nancy was especially proud of and adored her grandchildren, David, Robert, Victoria (Brandon), Alexis, Amy, Kim, Brian, Luke, Jessie, Jessica, Frank Lee, IV, Donata, Kyle, Jake and her twelve great-grandchildren. She will also be greatly missed by many friends, extended relatives and her sweetly spoiled little poodle, Tyson.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
