Nancy Cannon Thorpe

Nancy Cannon Thorpe, age 62, passed away Monday, August 17, 2026 at ECU Health Bertie Hospital in Windsor, North Carolina. She was born in Edgecombe County on October 14, 1963, the youngest daughter born to Harvey and Sidney Cayton Cannon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Thorpe and sister, Diane Hagans.

She is survived by her sister, Julia C. Williams and husband, Kent of Tarboro; nephews, Kent Williams, Jr and wife, Sandy of Tarboro, Jay Williams and wife, Carolyn of Rocky Mount and James “Bug” Hagans, Jr of Tarboro; great-nieces and nephews, Jordan, Taylor, Seth, and Sydney Williams and great-great-nieces and nephew, Addison, Ella and Hayden Williams.

A service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, August 21, 2026 at Davis-Little Funerals, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery, Bethel, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00PM.
