Patricia Joyner

Patricia Woolard Joyner (Viverette), age 73, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Nash UNC Hospital in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. She was born on June 21, 1953 in Beaufort County, the only daughter born to Wade and Exadell Berry Woolard, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children whom she loved deeply, Robert Viverette and wife, Cynthia of Rocky Mount and Kim Winstead and husband, Avis of Elm City; brother, Gary Woolard; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of special friends whom she loved like family.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her daughter-in-law, Cynthia Viverette, for taking such good care of her during her final season.
