IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patsy (Walker)
Randall
February 12, 1945 – December 10, 2020
Battleboro -
Patsy Walker Randall, age 75, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Duke Hospital in Durham. Patsy was born in Whitakers, NC on February 12, 1945. She was the daughter of the late William Jackson Walker and Irene Fisher Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Randall; brothers Charles Walker and Sherwood Walker; sister, Doris Jean Walker; and granddaughter, Katherine F. Randall.
Patsy is survived by her son, Eric J. Randall, Sr and his partner, Stephen Weaver of Battleboro; grandsons Kristopher Randall of Winston-Salem and Eric J. Randall, Jr of Battleboro and her sister, Ruth Walker Gurganus of Rocky Mount. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other children "adopted" in her heart.
Patsy graduated from Whitakers High School and subsequently from East Carolina University with a Masters Degree in Education. She retired from the Onslow county school system after 32 years of teaching EMH, BEH, and LD children. She had a great love for her students and worked very hard to help them succeed. She also instilled a love of reading to her nieces by always gifting them books as rewards for helping with the gardening and canning duties over the summer. Patsy had a big heart and she loved her family unconditionally. She also had a heart for the Lord and enjoyed reading her Bible and writing down verses that spoke to her.
Patsy will be greatly missed, but we rejoice in knowing that she is now completely healed and we will see her again one day.
Please join family and friends for a Memorial Service to celebrate and remember Patsy's wonderful life: 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Baker-Fisher Family Cemetery in Whitakers.
