Rocky Mount -

Paul McKenzie, age 56, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 in Greenville NC. He lived in Rocky Mount, NC with his wife, Wilhelmina Chan and sons, Chrislyng and Tullyn McKenzie.

Paul is survived by his parents, Linton and Hope McKenzie and his siblings, Marcia Meeks, Caron McKenzie-Davis, Barbara, Wayne, and Stanley McKenzie.

Paul was a man of faith. He loved his wife and children and he loved his family (both in and outside of church). He was charismatic and cared deeply about his friends. He loved to read and write. Below is the poem he shared recently to those who sent well wishes.

For kind words, has no sins.

For kind words, we sing.

For kind words, are good and righteous.

For kind words, mirror holiness.

For kind words, are not only uttered by saints.

For kind words, are eternal and the norm in heaven.

For kind words, from you comes through to me.

For kind words, are the maker of saints.

For kind words, I reply, thank you, you are kind to me.

For kind words, are blessings between you and me.
