Pauline "Polly" Lelia Staples Martin, age 95, passed away Thursday afternoon, June 18th, 2020 at Rocky Mount Rehabilitation Center.

Polly was preceded in death by her parents, Waller and Bertha Staples; brothers, Wiley, Glenn, and John; sisters, Doris, Claire, Mildred, Peggy, and one grandchild, Trey Martin.

She is survived by a loving family that includes her children: Larry Staples (Patti), Trish Pittman (Buck), Roger Martin (Sherry), Ricky Martin, and Elva Wisniewski (Jimmy). She also leaves eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.

Polly worked in textile mills most of her life, retiring from Philip Fibers of Rocky Mount, NC. She enjoyed working in her yard planting flowers, cooking and going to the Farmer's Market on Saturdays. She loved West Mount Baptist Church and all her church family.

Polly's life will be remembered with a memorial service at West Mount Baptist Church at 3:00 pm, Sunday, June 21st. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 pm
