Pete Bennett, age 75, passed away Friday morning, January 9, 2026 at Nash UNC Hospital in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He was born on August 19, 1950 in Nash County to Dwight and Mavis Bennett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Terry Bennett.

He is survived by his children, Billy Mansfield (Hazel), Melissa Pierce (Daniel), all of Rocky Mount and Jennifer Bennett (Justin Pergerson) of Louisburg; siblings, Eve Williams (Mike) of Whitakers and Mike Bennett (Joy) of Jackson; grandchildren, Hannah and Noah Mansfield and Brayden Pierce; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm – 8:00pm on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Davis-Little Funerals, 2129 Lawrence Circle, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
