Rocky Mount –

Phyllis Lewis Ratcliff, age 80, passed away peacefully Monday, October 14, 2024 at The Gardens of Nashville in Nashville, North Carolina. Her wonderful journey began on April 23, 1944 in Edgecombe County to George and Lula Peele Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ratcliff and siblings, Joe Lewis, Irene Turco, Melba Dew, Helen Wilson (Roy), Carolyn Sutton, Jesse Lewis and Bill Lewis (Laura).

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Nunzi of Rocky Mount; son, Jim Ratcliff (Tammy) of Wrightsville Beach and sister, Sonya Viverette of Rocky Mount. Phyllis adored her grandchildren, Christian Ratcliff (Britt), Noah Ratcliff, Sierra Joyner, Anna Ratcliff, Chloe Rose Ratcliff and Jude Ratcliff.

A private memorial will take place at a later date.
