Rocky Mount

Raymond Lacy Beale Jr., age 86, passed away Tuesday evening, October 3, 2023. He was born on July 4, 1937 in Republican Grove, Virginia to Raymond and Mary McDowell Beale. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Oakes Beale and brothers, Randy Beale and Ed Beale.

Ray graduated George Washington  High School in Danville, Virginia with the Class of 1956 and continued his education with Virginia Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 1961. He later worked at INCO, PPG, Delta Associates and KDAR.

He is survived by his three children, Kathryn Beale Snyder of St. Albans, West Virginia, David Raymond Beale, Sr. (Lauretta N. Beale) of Rocky Mount, NC and Amy Beale Lootens (David Lootens) of Orlando, Fla; along with fifteen grandchildren and  seven great-grandchildren.

Interment will take place on a later date at Highland Burial Park in Danville, Virginia.
