Rocky Mount -

Rebecca Jean "Becky" Strickland, age 87, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, December 25, 2022, at her home with her family by her side.  She was born in Nash County, North Carolina on June 18, 1935 to Charlie and Tassie Davis. She was a long-time and faithful member of Arlington Baptist Church.

Becky is survived by her husband of sixty-nine years, Eugene N. Strickland; daughter, Cindy Booth of Rocky Mount; sons, Charles Strickland (Pam) of Cary and Keith Strickland (Melanie) of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Jessica Renee Strickland and Hannah Grace Strickland, both of Rocky Mount; brother-in-law, Harold Strickland (Glendora) of Nashville; sister-in-law, Barbara Strickland Davis of Rocky Mount; and sister, Ruby Davis of Spring Hope.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Oakdale Cemetery, East Branch Street, Spring Hope, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude for the special care, support and prayers from the staff of Nash Hospice and the many loving friends and church family.
