Reginald "Reggie" Medford, Jr.,  age 71, passed away Wednesday morning, March 3, 2021 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro, North Carolina. He was born in Lincoln County, NC to Reginald, Sr. and Carrie Garner Medford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Dale Medford; sister, Sandra Medford; and daughter, Kathryn Brown.

He leaves a lifetime of wonderful memories for his loving wife of forty-two years, Gladys Smith Medford; children, Regina Medford Cherry (Tal) of Macclesfield and Patricia Joan Burdette (Tim) of Greenville; siblings, Ann Andrews of Macclesfield, Penny Kinnin and Susan Peace (Steve), all of Tarboro. He was especially proud of his grandchildren, Trey Derby, Christin Adcock (Josh), Christopher Medford (Lily), Cody Cherry, Ethan Cherry, and Matt Harding, whom he loved as his own; and great-grandchildren, Summerlynn Adcock and Dominic Medford. Reggie will also be deeply missed by special friend, Shirley Hudson of Vanceboro; close family friend, Mary James of Tarboro; along with many nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.

Please join family and friends as we remember and celebrate Reggie's life at 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the Lakeside Mausoleum, Edgecombe Memorial Park, Tarboro, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00 pm and other times at the home of Regina and Tal Cherry.
