Rex Keel, Sr., age 83, passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday, June 14, 2023. He was born on August 29, 1939 to Raymond and Maggie Aman Keel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Annie Higgins, Loretta Brock, and Bobby Keel.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Nadine Keel; son, Lynn Keel; daughter, Sharon Keel (Mark Blaylock); friends who are considered family, Katina and Nate Johnston; and canine companion, Deuce. He was a proud Papa to his grandchildren: Max Keel, Joshua King, Caleb King, and Gracen Johnston.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 12:00 pm at Rocky Mount Memorial Park, 4464 Dortches Boulevard, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
