Rhonda Patricia "Pat" Harris, age 61, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at The Lodge of Rocky Mount Health & Rehabilitation. She was born on March 17, 1961 in Savannah, Georgia to Joshua and Shirley Sandefur Helmly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joshua Ronald Helmly; husband, Murray Eugene Harris; brother, Ronnie Helmly; sisters, Cheryl Finch and Tonya Hickman; brothers-in-law, Johnny R. Harris and Billy G. Harris; sister-in-law, Gladys Harris; and nephew, Tony Harris.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Harris and Chris Harris (Jenny), all of Tarboro; mother, Shirley Helmly of Savannah, GA; grandson, Christian Harris; sisters, Sheila Flathmann and Jill O'Connor of Georgia; sister-in-law, Ruby Respass (Ellis) of Greenville; brothers-in-law, Edward Harris (Jean) of Tarboro and Bobby Lee Harris of Hobgood; great-nieces, Torrie Edmondson and Crystal Edmondson; along with other extended relatives and her Harris Hill family.

Pat was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was a kind-hearted, devoted Christian who would help anyone she could. Pat had a heart of gold and will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and especially her Harris Hill community.

A private memorial service will take place at a later date.
