Pinetops -

Robert W. "Bob" Marler, Jr., age 87, passed away at Edgecombe Health Center in Tarboro on Friday, August 16, 2024.  He was born in Chester, PA on February 25, 1937. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Yitzi Marler; brother, Kenneth Wayne Marler; and sister, Betty Taylor.

An avid fisherman who loved the outdoors, Bob leaves a lifetime of wonderful memories for his devoted wife of sixty-four years, Cathy Riggins Marler; son, Rob Marler of Pinetops; daughter, Kimberly Denise Daniels and husband, Lenny, of Palm Springs, CA; grandchildren, Paul S. Marler, Joshua R. Marler, Emily Arnett and husband, Zack, and Reba Daniels; great-grandchildren, Case, Collins, and Clayton Arnett; along with nieces, nephews, family friends and other extended relatives.

The family will host a memorial service 5:00pm on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Eagles Baptist Church, NC-124, Macclesfield, NC 27852. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 4:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. Floral tributes should be directed to Eagles Baptist Church.
