Rocky Mount –

Rodney "Thomas" Moore, age 58, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024. He was born on November 24, 1965 in Nash County, North Carolina to Russell and Brenda Robbins Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Joshua Moore and father-in-law, Alton "Hoover" Daniel.

He is survived by his wife, Melanie Daniel; children, Shaune Daniel, Meagan Johnson, Brittany Asay, Miranda Mizelle (Brandon) and Cole Moore (Ashley); sister, Samantha Moore (Greg); brother, Joseph Moore (Tina); mother-in-law, Inez Daniel; his grandchildren from whom he received great joy, Dionycia, Carly, Hailey, Grant, Owyn, Justyn, Aubrie, Simon and Adler; his beloved rescue pups, Titus and Sasha; along with a host of friends, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Thomas loved building with wood and for so many years worked in construction doing everything from remodels, to multi million-dollar commercial sites.  He loved his church, his brothers and sisters in Christ- and his pastors, and most especially his family. He was known as a helper and was always willing to help others in need. His friendship and servant's heart will be deeply missed by those who loved him.

The family will host a Celebration of Life on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at 3:00pm at RiverBend Church, 9853 NC-97, Rocky Mount, NC 27803. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
