Ronald Davis

Ronald "Rell" Davis, age 43, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, November 5, 2026 at his home in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He was born in Essex County, New Jersey on June 16, 1983. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Carrie Buckman and paternal grandfather, John Davis.

Rell's devotion for his family will be fondly remembered by his paternal grandmother, Betty Davis of New Jersey; parents, Brenda Davis of South Carolina and Ronald Davis of New Jersey; wife, Jimilah "Me-Me" Davis of Maryland; brothers, Corrie Davis, John Davis and Delshawn Davis; children, Gloria Young, Ronald Davis, Ronzaha Davis and Ronnia Davis; nine grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other extended relatives and close friends.

Rell valued family above all else. He was a fierce protector of those he loved and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed support. No stranger to hard times, he was determined and unstoppable, pushing through many of life's challenges and proving every time that he could overcome the odds. Rell kept a positive attitude, kept his spirit high and most importantly, his faith mighty. He will be remembered for his morning routine consisting of gospel music and coffee, his kindness, perseverance, and the positive influence he had on those around him. Though his absence is felt deeply, Rell's memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. 

The family will host a memorial service in South Carolina at a later date.
