Rocky Mount –

Ronald "Ronnie" Taylor, age 58, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Nash UNC Health Care in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He was born in Nash County on November 2, 1966. He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Eugene Taylor.

He is survived by his mother, Faye Shearin Taylor of Rocky Mount; aunts and uncles, Charlie and Jan Shearin of Elm City, Ray and Jean Taylor of Rocky Mount, Margaret Shearin West of Nashville, Tony and Shirley Shearin of Wilson, David and Vicki Shearin of Las Vegas and Barbara Berry of Williamsburg. Ronnie will also be missed by many special cousins including Roger Newsome of Rocky Mount and Becky Gaskins of Atlantic Beach.

A service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Oak View Baptist Church, 2412 Arlington Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27801. Interment will follow at Pineview Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Oak View Baptist Church.
